July 2019 Scripture Calendar for Prayer

During this month, please think and pray on these scriptures about stone/rock/strength – Christ is our Rock and our Redeemer, a strong foundation upon which we, our congregation, and our world is built.

July 1:                      Hebrews 10:24-25    “And let us consider each other carefully for the purpose of sparking love and good deeds. Don’t stop meeting together with other believers, which some people have gotten into the habit of doing. Instead, encourage each other, especially as you see the day drawing near.”

July 2:                      1 Corinthians 12:24b-27            “But God has put the body together, giving greater honor to the part with less honor so that there won’t be division in the body and so the parts might have mutual concern for each other. If one part suffers, all the parts suffer with it; if one part gets the glory, all the parts celebrate with it. You are the body of Christ and parts of each other.”

July 3:                      Romans 12:4-5         “We have many parts in one body but the parts don’t all have the same function. In the same way, though there are many of us, we are one body in Christ, and individually we belong to each other.”

July 4:                      Galatians 3:28-29     “There is neither Jew nor Greek; there is neither slave nor free; nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. Now if you belong to Christ, then indeed you are Abraham’s descendants, heirs according to the promise.”

July 5:                      1 John 1:7                “But if we live in the light in the same way as he is in the light, we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from every sin.”

July 6:                      Ephesians 4:2-3        “Conduct yourselves with all humility, gentleness, and patience. Accept each other with love, and make an effort to preserve the unity of the Spirit with the peace that ties you together.”

July 7:                      Worship Service

July 8:                      Romans 12:16          “Consider everyone as equal, and don’t think that you’re better than anyone else. Instead, associate with people who have no status. Don’t think that you are so smart.”

July 9:                      Isaiah 1:17                “…learn to do good. Seek justice: help the oppressed; defend the orphan; plead for the widow.”

July 10:                    John 13:20                 “I assure you that whoever receives someone I send receives me, and whoever receives me receives the one who sent me.”

July 11:                    Romans 14:13          “So stop judging each other. Instead, this is what you should decide: never put a stumbling block or obstacle in the way of your brother or sister.”

July 12:                    James 5:15-16          “Prayer that comes from faith will heal the sick, for the Lord will restore them to health. And if they have sinned, they will be forgiven. For this reason, confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of the righteous person is powerful in what it can achieve.”

July 13:                    Matthew 18:20        “For where two or three of you are gathered in my name, I’m there with them.”

July 14:                    Worship Service

July 15:                    Psalm 133:1             “Look how good and pleasing it is when families live together as one!”

July 16:                    1 Peter 3:8-9             “Finally, all of you be of one mind, sympathetic, lovers of your fellow believers, compassionate, and modest in your opinion of yourselves. Don’t pay back evil for evil or insult for insult. Instead, give blessing in return. You were called to do this so that you might inherit a blessing.”

July 17:                    John 15:12-13           “This is my commandment: love each other just as I have loved you. No one has greater love than to give up one’s life for one’s friends.”

July 18:                    Philippians 2:3-4       “Don’t do anything for selfish purposes, but with humility think of others as better than yourselves. Instead of each person watching out for their own good, watch out for what is better for others.”

July 19:                    Romans 1:11-12       “I really want to see you to pass along some spiritual gift to you so that you can be strengthened. What I mean is that we can mutually encourage each other while I am with you. We can encourage by the faithfulness we find in each other, both your faithfulness and mine.”

July 20:                    Matthew 7:12          “Therefore, you should treat people in the same way that you want people to treat you; this is the Law and the Prophets.”

July 21:                    Worship Service

July 22:                    Acts 4:32                 “The community of believers was one in heart and mind. None of them would say, ‘This is mine!’ about any of their possessions, but held everything in common.”

July 23:                    Romans 15:5-6        “May the God of endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude toward each other, similar to Christ Jesus’ attitude. That way you can glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ together with one voice.”

July 24:                    Colossians 3:12-14    “Therefore, as God’s choice, holy and loved, put on compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Be tolerant with each other and, if someone has a complaint against anyone, forgive each other. As the Lord forgave you, so also forgive each other. And over all these things put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity.”

July 25:                    1 John 4:10-12          “This is love: It is not that we loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son as the sacrifice that deals with our sins. Dear friends, if God loved us this way, we also ought to love each other. No one has ever seen God. If we love each other, God remains in us and his love is made perfect in us.

July 26:                    1 Thessalonians: 5:11                 “So continue encouraging each other and building each other up, just like you are doing already.”

July 27:                    1 Peter 4:8 -10           “Above all, show sincere love to each other, because love brings about the forgiveness of many sins. Open your homes to each other without complaining. And serve each other according to the gift each person has received, as good managers of God’s diverse gifts.”

July 28:                    Worship Service

July 29:                    1 John 3:11              “This is the message you heard from the beginning: love each other.”

July 30:                    1 Thessalonians 5:14-15            “Brothers and Sisters, we urge you to warn those who are disorderly. Comfort the discouraged. Help the weak. Be patient with everyone. Make sure no one repays a wrong with a wrong, but always pursue the good for each other and everyone else.”

July 31:                    Hebrews 13:1-3        “Keep loving each other like family. Don’t neglect to open up your homes to guests, because by doing this some have been hosts to angels without knowing it. Remember prisoners as if you were in prison with them, and people who are mistreated as if you were in their place.”
